Anne
Anne is the relief captain, usual linehandler, fender placer, purser, weather girl, swabbie, and blogger.
She’s also an amateur writer, former science teacher, retired Coast Guardsman, minister’s kid, and onetime mom.
She’s a moderately good boat handler and excellent navigator – at sea. She is interested in oceanography, geology, architecture, and history.
She loves to swim. She wants to put in yardage every day, despite conditions.
Katie and Looper
Katie Ledecky is the Humane Society adoptee, a mix of Southern black mouth cur, coonhound, and Carolina dog.
She loves to run like the wind, plonk through high grass, chase tennis balls, and swim for sticks. She wants to hang out.
Katie’s predecessor, Looper, a Carolina dog, lived aboard and cruised with us in 2022 and 2023.
Pete
Pete is the captain. He keeps the boat running and all of us on an even keel.
He is a top-notch boat handler and also tends deck equipment, dinghy and motor, diesel engines, chains, lines, navigation computers, radar, depth sounders, safety equipment, generator, canvas, fenders, lines, upholstery, expendables, flares, emergency equipment, batteries, and so on.
Pete loves to keep up on the news, find new technologies, and eat fresh seafood. He wants to find the perfect fish and chips.
